Multiple Darien Car Burglaries Investigated

DARIEN, CT — Police are investigating two car burglaries that occurred in the overnight hours between Aug. 3 and 4.

A Huckleberry Lane resident noticed her garage door was open even though it was closed the night before. A vehicle in the garage and another in the driveway were rummaged through, but nothing was apparently taken, police said.

Officers found that another incident occurred after conducting a neighborhood canvas. Another Huckleberry Lane resident heard noises in his driveway around 3:15 a.m. and noticed that his two front doors of his vehicle were opened. He also noticed two people on the street in front of his residence who ran away after being spotted.

The vehicle had been unlocked and nothing was reported missing.
