Multiple Vehicles Burglarized In Darien, Cops Say
And like so many other vehicle burglaries in Darien, they all had one thing in common.

DARIEN, CT — A total of nine vehicles were burglarized in Darien on Dec. 14 and 15, and in each case the vehicles had been left unlocked, according to Darien police.
In the first incident, a 2018 Mitsubishi Outback parked on Midbrook Lane was broken into and a $50 backpack and United States passport were reported stolen.
On the 15th, three vehicles parked on Revere Road — a 2013 Porsche Cayenne, 2016 BMW X3 and 2017 Subaru Forester - were broken into but nothing appears to have been taken.

However, Darien police said that the incident was reported after a group of individuals had been seen checking vehicle door handles, and after two were spotted breaking into one of the three vehicles, they left in what turned out to have been a stolen vehicle out of New Haven.
Later that day, four juveniles were arrested in Clinton in the stolen New Haven vehicle, while they were breaking into other vehicles in Clinton, according to Darien police.

Also on the 15th, about $45 in cash was reportedly stolen from a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado on Fairfield Avenue, and in a separate Fairfield Avenue break-in a 2018 Mazda CX9 was entered. The contents of the vehicle were rifled through, but nothing appears to have been taken.
And finally in the same driveway on Chestnut Street, a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe, a 2012 Lincoln Navigator and a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee were all broken into, but only about $10 was taken from the Jeep, according to Darien police.
