Mystery Surrounds Placement Of Darien School Principal On Leave
He had served in the position since July 2016.

DARIEN, CT — DJ Colella, who served as principal of Darien's Hindley Elementary School since July 2016, has been placed on leave by the district and is being replaced by veteran school administrator Julie Droller, writes the Stamford Advocate.
The circumstances for Colella's placement on leave were not disclosed by interim Schools Superintendent Elliott Landon, who announced the move this month in a letter to the school community. If or when Colella might return to the position was not disclosed.
Droller, who worked for the Darien district in the past, most recently was Westport's Director of Elementary Education.
