New Role For Popular Connecticut TV Reporter
Fox 61's Rachel Lutzker is taking on a slightly different challenge.

For 20 years, Fox 61's and iHeart Radio's Rachel Lutzker has been waking up at 3 a.m. to give Connecticut residents the scoop on what to expect on their drive into work in the morning. It's a tough job, but you wouldn't know it if you've been watching her all these years, because she delivers it in such a smooth, effortless fashion.
But beginning on Aug. 1, Lutzker will, to paraphrase the great LeBron James, take her talents to the afternoons and deliver traffic news for the evening commute home. She announced the news on her Twitter page Thursday.
The move allows the wife and mother of three to be home in the mornings with her family.

"I am BEYOND grateful to #iHeartRadio and #FOX 61 for this exciting opportunity," Lutzker wrote in an Instagram post. "This new change in my schedule allows me to be there for my family AND continue to do what I love…"
In addition to traffic reports, Lutzker will also join the Connecticut station's Jim Altman to broadcast features on various attractions around the state, as part of Fox 61's "Daytrippers" series, according to officials.
