The video series aims to keep residents informed and educated on Darien town government happenings.

DARIEN, CT — Darien First Selectman Jon Zagrodzky has launched a new video update series in order to keep residents informed and educated on town government happenings.
The first video in the series responds to resident questions and concerns about the recent property revaluation notification letters. The letters were sent out to residents last week.
Zagrodzky's video addresses how valuations affect property taxes.

"All of the properties in town have now been revalued," Zagrodzky said in the brief video. "We've had a number of calls about this because, in some of those letters, the property value increases have been 20-40 percent; some really big numbers. A few folks have called and been concerned and worried that maybe their taxes will go up by that much, and that's not necessarily the case."
Zagrodzky then went through several PowerPoint slides explaining property revaluations.
