Night Paving Scheduled For Route 1 In Darien

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Police Department is advising residents that night paving on Route 1 in Darien will begin at 7 p.m. on Oct. 19.

According to the below statement from officials, the work could last up to seven nights, and motorists should expect traffic delays during the construction period:

State Department of Transportation officials have notified the Darien Police Department that
the completion of the Route 1 paving project will begin on Thursday evening, October 19th , at
approximately 7:00 PM. According to the DOT, the contractor anticipates that it will take
approximately six to seven nights of work to complete. Motorists are advised to expect delays
during this time period.
