NJ, CT Troopers Friendly Feud Over Cruisers, Hats on Social Media
The two state police departments have been going back and forth with various insults over uniforms, cruisers and gas pumping.

Connecticut and New Jersey state troopers are having a spirited back-and-forth war of words on Facebook and Instagram over departmental differences ranging from police vehicles to pumping gas.
A Connecticut trooper asked whether New Jersey troopers are allowed to pump their own gasoline or if they have to go to a full service station like other motorists.
New Jersey State Police responded on Facebook with a sarcastic comment about receiving extensive training in gas pumping and then proceeded to poke fun at Connecticut’s bland grey State Police cruisers.

Connecticut fired back with a quip about New Jersey’s choice of hats.
So, @ct_state_police Tpr. Cummings wanted to know if we pump our own gas when fueling our troop cars or if we have attendants like the rest of the state. Well, we fuel our cars ourselves, but only after extensive training in the academy. And for the record, we like our full service gas stations just fine, thank you. We are, after all, a civilized state, unlike Connecticut. You guys don't even have the decency to paint your Troop cars! #DontFearPaint @platt_tech_trooper #njsp #cars #police
