Noroton Heights and Downtown Development Projects Make Headway

DARIEN, CT — Both the Noroton Heights Shopping Center and Baywater Properties downtown redevelopment projects are proceeding through the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The Noroton Heights project closed its public hearing. Some neighbors were concerned with an increase in traffic as the area redevelops and adds more than 50 apartments, according to the Darien Times.

A traffic study showed a minimal increase in traffic and it was suggested neighbors form a group and take existing traffic concerns to the First Selectman's office.

The Baywater Properties downtown redevelopment project also made headway with the commission voting to approve zoning amendments.
