Charlotte enjoyed the ocean and spent many summers with her Mother and Father on the family boat. She was a member of the Garden Club in Rhode Island, a rug hooker and enjoyed the symphony, plays and going to museums.

While she had traveled all through Europe and made a cross country adventure to California and back again, she had always been southerner at heart and spent many summers with her children in Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas and Alabama. She instilled in her children and grandchildren a love of reading, a sense of wonder and curiosity and the daring do of adventure.

She was a loving and generous mother, a kind and compassionate friend and a spirited lover of life. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
