Obituary: Grace Raffaella Lombardo (Tarzia), 91, Of Darien
Grace was born in Stamford, and moved to Darien in 1971. She enjoyed making ceramics, cooking Italian food, and entertaining at home.
Grace Raffaella Tarzia Lombardo, age 91 of Darien, entered Heaven’s Gate under Hospice care at Stamford Hospital on December 1, 2022.
Born on March 10, 1931 in Stamford, she is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Anna (Pagano) Tarzia of Italy and her son George Lombardo.

Grace graduated from Stamford’s Sacred Heart Academy in 1949, then took a job at Freiberg Brothers in Stamford. She married her beloved husband Patsy in 1955 after the couple met at a dance.
In 1971, the couple moved to Darien with their five children. Grace later worked as a bookkeeper for the law firm of McInnerny & Millar, and enjoyed making ceramics, cooking Italian food, and entertaining at home.

Grace is survived by her husband Patsy, sister Lena Rovegno, brother Joseph Tarzia Jr., her children Janet (Robert) Santoro, Joseph (Marlene), Patrick, Gary, daughter-in-law Sally, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
