Opposition Mounted Against Darien's Old Town Hall Houses Redevelopment

DARIEN, CT - A group of senior residents at Darien's Old Town Hall Houses complex are opposing a planned redevelopment of the property.

The Darien Times reports that under the current plan, the residents will be moved out of the building in the spring of 2017 and returned about a year later after the improvement project is completed.

Even though the complex is slated to be renovated, some seniors are hesitant to leave their familiar current surroundings for temporary ones, and then return to unfamiliar units.
