P&Z to Decide on Darien Downtown Redevelopment Proposal
The plan calls for buildings up to 85-feet-tall in parts of downtown.

Editor's note: We previously ran this article, but here it is again in case you missed it.Darien, CT- The Planning and Zoning Commission will now decide whether buildings as high as six stories should be allowed in the downtown area.
The public hearing for downtown zoning changesproposed by Baywater Properties has been closed, according to the Darien Times.
Baywater wants to redevelop downtown from the Bank of America building to the corner of Old Kings Highway South and Corbin Drive.

The plan also includes a half-acre "Market Green,"according to the Darienite.
A six-story building would have a maximum height of 85-feet under the proposal in order to allow room for utility equipment between stories and higher ceilings that are in-demand.
