DARIEN, CT — An incident of package theft was reported at a home in Darien on Dec. 7, according to police.

On that date at approximately 5:05 p.m., officers responded to a home on Great Hill Road on a report of stolen packages from the front porch.

Police said a woman at the home told officers that at 4:30 p.m., she heard her dog barking near the front window.

The woman saw a man trying to pick up packages that were delivered, so she banged on the front window, and the man ran to an awaiting car, police noted.

The woman reviewed her Ring security camera and saw the man first approached the porch with a large bag and loaded packages inside before walking back to the car, police said.
