Parking Available at Darien RR Stations [UPDATE]

Update 9:17 a.m.:

A good number of Darien commuters took taxis into New York City on Sunday to beat any morning commuter problems, said Lloyd Mellad, owner of Darien Taxi.

"That's why you find that many parking spaces, he said, referring to about 10 empty spots in the small parking lot right by the Darien Railroad Station building.

Update 8:45 a.m.:

There's plenty of parking at the Darien Metro-North Railroad Station lots on West Avenue and in the Leroy Avenue parking lot (both in spots designated for permit and voucher parking).

There's plenty of parking at the Noroton Heights Metro-North Railroad station as of 8 a.m., despite the interruption on the New Haven line in Fairfield, as the attached pictures show.

The parking lot on the south side of the station, accessible from either the entrance off the Exit 10 southbound entrance ramp (at the Darien EMS-Post 53 headquarters) or Hollow Tree Ridge Road.
