Parking Changes Possible in Darien
The town commissioned a study and a volunteer committee gave its input into changes for pricing, availability, etc.

DARIEN, CT- Darien residents could expect some changes to parking in town.
A consulting firm indentifed some possible changes to parking in Darien including, widening available parking stock, standardizing time limits and raising prices, according to the Darien Times.

The firm noted that daily parking rates at Darien train stations is $3 compared to $8 in Stamford and $7 in Rowayton. The firm suggested Darien race the minimum price to $5, which is similar to Greenwich. Town officials will decide on how to proceed.
The town will begin enforcement April 1 of $30 fines as opposed to the old fine of $15 for parking improperly in off-street lots.
