Fuel Tanker Explosion Adverted Thanks to Quick Work of Firefighters
There is still some congestion.

DARIEN, CT—Disaster was averted Wednesday afternoon thanks to the quick work of firefighters.
A truck carrying a tank full of gasoline caught on fire and the truck cab was fully engulfed in flames by the time Darien firefighters arrived, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
The fire was put out within eight minutes.

Original story: The right lane of I-95 southbound between exits 13 and 11 is closed due to a tanker truck fire.
The incident was reported shortly before 1 p.m. At first the highway was closed as firefighters battled the blaze.

No injuries were reported, according to State Police.
