PD: Darien Car Burglaries 'Strongly Resemble' Felony Lane Gang Work
Police believe they are operating in Darien and the surrounding area.

Darien Police believe the recent smash and grab motor vehicle burglaries have a strong resemblance to that of the Felony Lane Gang, which has been targeting Darien and surround town residents.
Four cars were broken into near Cherry Lawn Park around 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 31.
The gang is out of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and is known to operate in numerous states across the nation, said Sgt. Jeremiah Marron Jr., police spokesman. They are known to steal personal information and checkbooks in an effort to commit bank fraud.

“We’ve also learned that dozens of similar incidents have occurred in surrounding towns within the last week and that fraudulent bank transactions have now been made against the victim’s accounts incurring thousands of dollars in losses,” he said.
Police continue to investigate and anyone with information is asked to call police at 203-662-5330.
