PD: Man Arrested After Harassing Worker at Darien Whole Foods

The man reportedly called the store about a dozen times in one day in an attempt to contact an employee.

DARIEN, CT- A Bridgeport man was arrested after he repeatedly called the Darien Whole Foods in an attempt to speak with a 44-year-old female employee.

Floyd Gaines, 46, allegedly called the store about a dozen times March 14. The victim also received harassing phone calls and texts, police said.

Gaines was allegedly loud, rude and demanding on the phone.

Darien Police picked up Gaines at Bridgeport Hospital after he went there for an unrelated matter on March 23. Gaines was arrested by Bridgeport Police the same day and charged with third-degree assault, according to court records.

Gaines was arrested for second-degree harassment and second-degree stalking. He was held on a $50,000 bond.

He has a criminal history in New York, Georgia and New Jersey.
