Pickpockets Reported At Trader Joe's In Darien: Police
Police said two pickpocket incidents recently occurred at the grocery store, and both involved fraudulent purchases elsewhere later on.

DARIEN, CT — Two pickpocket incidents were recently reported at the Trader Joe's in Darien, according to police, and both involved fraudulent purchase attempts later on at the SoNo Collectional mall in Norwalk.
On April 1, a Darien police officer took a report regarding a stolen wallet from earlier in the day.
A woman told police she was shopping at Trader Joe's on the Post Road at approximately 12:45 p.m., and she realized her wallet was missing from her purse after shopping, police said.

The woman said that before she could cancel her credit cards, she received a text alert about a fraudulent purchase at the Apple store in the SoNo Collection mall, police said, adding that the woman also noted there was an attempt on another card at Nordstrom.
On April 5, a Darien police officer took a siilar report about a stolen wallet that occurred the day before.

A woman told police she was shopping at Trader Joe's between 5:50 p.m. and 6 p.m. on April 4 when she noticed her wallet was missing from her purse, police said.
The woman said she received an alert on her phone that a fraudulent charge was made on one of her credit cards at the SoNo Collection Apple store.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
