Pizzeria, Nail Salon Burglarized In Darien: Police
Police said they responded to reports of burglaries at two local businesses on Aug. 18.

DARIEN, CT — A local pizzeria and nail salon on the Post Road were burglarized in the early morning hours of Aug. 18, according to the Darien Police Department.
On Sunday, officers responded to Post Corner Pizza on the Post Road on a report of a burglary.
Surveillance footage showed a suspect using a ladder to enter the building through the skylight around 2:15 a.m., police said, noting the suspect forced open cash registers and took an unknown amount of money.

The same day, officers responded to Jade Nail Salon a little over 300 feet down the road on another report of a burglary. Officers found signs of forced entry via a rear door, police said.
The salon's surveillance footage showed the suspect, believed to be the same from Post Corner Pizza, entering at 3:12 a.m., police noted.

The suspect is seen tampering with cameras and stealing an ATM with an unknown amount of money, police said.
Police did not provide details on the suspect.
