Porsche Stolen From Darien Found In New York: Police

The owner said a set of keys was left inside the vehicle and he was unsure if he locked the car, according to police.

DARIEN, CT — A Darien resident's 2018 Porsche Cayenne was reported stolen this week but later found in New York, according to police.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said the Contentment Island Road resident told officers Sunday morning the car had been stolen sometime overnight.

The owner said a set of keys was left inside the vehicle and he was unsure if he locked the car, Skoumbros said. Surveillance footage provided by a neighbor showed a man looking into vehicles around 1:30 a.m.

The car was later found by in North Salem, N.Y., by New York Sate Police around 2:30 p.m., Skoumbros said.
