Principal Of Middlesex Middle School To Resign, Leave District

The school district will immediately post a permanent principal vacancy, and a full search committee will commence.

DARIEN, CT — Superintendent of Darien Public Schools Dr. Alan Addley on Monday evening announced that Middlesex Middle School Principal Dr. Karolyn Dahlstrom will resign, effective June 30.

Dahlstrom is leaving Darien to become the principal at North Branford Intermediate School.

"We thank Mrs. Dahlstrom for her dedicated service and leadership over the past three years and wish her continued success in her new educational endeavor," Addley said in an email to families.

DPS will immediately post a permanent principal vacancy with a July 1 start date, and a full search committee will commence, Addley said, noting that staff and parents will be part of the interview and selection process.

"I will keep the Middlesex Middle School community apprised as we move through the processes of appointing a new principal ," Addley said. "The MMS team of administrators will be working together during the final six weeks of school to ensure a smooth and successful end of the school year for students, staff and families."
