Purse, Phone, Package Stolen in Darien: PD

Recent theft reports from Darien.

DARIEN, CT—A woman's purse was reported stolen after she accidentally left in near her husband's vehicle.

The purse was left near 22 Center Street Oct. 15 around 2 p.m. The black and white Kate Spade bag contained an iPhone, wallet, $300 in cash and a few credit and debit cards. The bag and wallet are valued at $150 each.

Attempts to call the phone failed because it was turned off. The victim had left the phone on and with plenty of battery life.

In an unrelated case a package was reported stolen from Kensit Lane on Oct. 11. A woman brought a couple packages inside, but left a larger one outside because she couldn't carry it, police said. She left her home between 3 and 6 p.m. and noticed the package was missing upon her return.

Miscellaneous items worth $80 were inside.
