Beverly Jones Abt, 91, died Feb. 7, 2026, an English teacher by training who began her career in education before devoting decades to community volunteer work with Southport Congregational Church nursery school, Pequot Library, the Dogwood Festival at Greenfield Hill Congregational Church and the Connecticut Dance School, and who pursued avid interests in tennis, skiing, bridge, golf, world travel, the Bridgeport Symphony and social activities at Black Rock Yacht Club.

Ann Claire O’Brien, 91, died Feb. 5, 2026, an interior decorator and exhibiting artist in oils and watercolors who devoted decades to Catholic and community service through leadership roles with the Ladies Guild at Our Lady’s Help of Christians Church and volunteer work with Meals On Wheels, the Darien Community Association and the Philanthropic Education Organization, and who pursued avid interests in tennis and gardening.

Brendan Patrick Price, 88, died Jan. 30, 2026, a seventh-grade American history teacher at JHS 93 in Ridgewood, N.Y., for 30 years who also performed as a bagpiper with the County Armagh Pipers Band and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, holding a B.A. from Iona College and maintaining a lifelong interest in music and education.

Marie Longner Ziegler, 66, died Jan. 18, 2026, a United Airlines flight attendant for more than 20 years who worked the New York–Paris route using her French language skills, a University of Iowa graduate with degrees in business and French, and an avid traveler who enjoyed global tours and monthly gatherings with former colleagues.
