Connecticut Weather: Record-Breaking Temperatures In The Forecast
A few days ago it was in the 40s and now Connecticut is looking at record-breaking temps on Thursday. Here's how hot it may get.

It appears we may have skipped spring this year and we’re headed right into summer weather in Connecticut. Parts of the state will be in the 90s Thursday and the warm weather continues through Friday before it cools off for the weekend.
The record high temp in Connecticut for Thursday is expected to fall. Meteorologist Brad Field NBC Connecticut wrote, “Who's ready for a preview of coming attractions? WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, “Straight up beautiful, Summer weather today! High temperatures for most places in the 80s. Some 90s expected for tomorrow! The humidity drops Friday afternoon and the weekend looks fabulous with sunshine and temperatures around 70.”

As the temperatures climb it has led to an "Air Quality Alert" being issued for New Haven and Middlesex counties and for northern New London county.
“An air quality action day means that ozone within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards,” the National Weather Service states.

Here’s the updated forecast via the National Weather Service:
Wednesday: Sunny and temps in the low to mid 80s on the coast and approaching 90 inland.
Thursday: Temps in the mid 80s on the coast to low to mid 90s in northern Connecticut.
Friday: More sun, and temps in the low to mid 80s. A slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm.
Saturday: More sun, and temps in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.
Sunday: Continued sunshine and temps in the mid to upper 60s.
