Rudy Giuliani Seen At Rest Stop In Darien: Report
State Rep. Joe Hoxha (R-78) posted a photo on Facebook with the well-known politician the day before Thanksgiving.

DARIEN, CT — A familiar political face was spotted at a rest stop on I-95 in Darien last week, according to a report from CT Insider.
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was seen at the rest stop the day before Thanksgiving, CT Insider reported.
State Rep. Joe Hoxha (R-78, Bristol) posted a photo on Facebook on Nov. 22 of himself with Giuliani with the caption, "Gotta love CT rest centers you’ll never know who you’ll run into."

Also in the photo was Jim Griffin, a former political candidate in CT. Griffin and Hoxha had been traveling back from California and stopped at the rest stop when they noticed Giuliani inside, CT Insider said.
Giuliani served as mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001 and became known as "America's Mayor" following his leadership through the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attack on the World Trade Center.

In recent years, Giuliani has advised former President Donald Trump and represented him in the many lawsuits that were filed following the 2020 presidential election.
In August 2023, Giuliani turned himself in and was one of 19 defendants accused of trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.
Also in August, Giuliani was found liable in a defamation lawsuit brought forward by two Georgia election workers who said they were falsely accused of fraud.
