Safe Containing Cash And Jewelry Stolen From Darien Home: Police

DARIEN, CT — A safe containing cash and numerous pieces of jewelry was stolen from a home in Darien last week, according to the Darien Police Department.

On the afternoon of Aug. 11, officers went to a home on Three Wells Lane on a report of a residential burglary. The reporting party told police that when she arrived to clean the house she found broken glass to a bedroom, police said.

The woman told police she then discovered the bedroom closets had been ransacked, and the safe in the closet was stolen, police said.

Darien detectives processed the scene, and an investigation remains ongoing.
