Sail Long Island Sound on a Tall Ship this summer.
SoundWaters public sails start June 23

Stamford, CT – The 80’ Tall Ship, SoundWaters, will be sailing Long Island Sound this summer, embarking from its home port of Stamford Harbor. Beginning Thursday, June 23 the public is invited aboard for a very special Long Island Sound experience. Complete details and the full summer sailing schedule can be found at SoundWaters.org/sails.
SoundWaters public sails take place Thursday – Sunday, beginning June 23. There are also two special Fireworks Sails on July 3 and 4. Guests are invited to bring their favorite food and beverages and relax for a breezy afternoon sail, ideal for families, or a beautiful and romantic sunset sail. All sails last two hours and depart from Boccuzzi Park on Stamford Harbor.

SoundWaters, a replica of a historic sharpie schooner, has been sailing Long Island Sound since 1989 as the flagship of Stamford-based environmental education non-profit, SoundWaters. During the week, SoundWaters is a floating classroom, carrying over 5,000 students every year from 64 different towns in the Long Island Sound region. While on board, SoundWaters educators teach the students about the ecology of Long Island Sound.
