Officials are advising residents of a recent scam that has been reported in Darien.
DARIEN, CT — Officials are advising residents of an ongoing scam that has been reported in Darien.
“The Darien Planning & Zoning Department continues to experience challenges regarding an ongoing billing scam related to their online permitting platform, OpenGov,” officials wrote in a post on the Town of Darien’s Facebook page. “Please review emails and invoices carefully. Emails will always come from either @darienct.gov or @opengov.com. An authentic invoice will never request payment via Wire transfer, Zelle, or Venmo. Always contact the Darien Planning & Zoning Department with any questions or concerns.”
