Schedule A Spring Bulk Pickup In Darien

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Department of Public Works will continue its bulk pickup program by appointment only again this spring, according to a posting from the town.

Items are limited to those too large for transport by a passenger car or SUV. Pickup will be by appointment only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning April 2 and ending on June 12. There is no pickup on May 27 or May 28.

Each residence is restricted to a single pickup per calendar year. Residents should have their debris placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on the day of their scheduled pickup, the town said.

Residents must reschedule pickup if items are not at the curb by 7 a.m. on day of pickup. No pickups will be made at addresses on private streets, unless property has road frontage on a public street and material is placed along public road frontage.
