Search Underway For New Darien Assistant Superintendent Of Curriculum
Superintendent of Daren Public Schools Dr. Alan Addley said the district has started its search for a new hire.
DARIEN, CT — The Darien Public Schools District has started its search to find a new assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, according to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Alan Addley.
In his weekly correspondence to families last Friday, Addley said the process and timeline for a new hire will be discussed during the board of education's regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday.
Addley noted the school district anticipated welcoming in a new assistant superintendent at the beginning of July.

It was announced in March that current assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction Dr. Christopher Tranberg would become the superintendent of Branford Public Schools, effective July 1.
Tranberg has been in Darien since 2020. Prior to coming to town, he held a variety of administrative positions in Connecticut school systems including assistant superintendent in Granby, principal of Avon High School, assistant principal of Simsbury High School and director of performing arts for Simsbury Public Schools.

He worked for several years as an elementary school music teacher in school systems in Connecticut, New Jersey and Ohio before pursuing his career as a public school administrator.
