Sen. Murphy Pushes Bill to Force Trump Tax Return Release
Murphy questioned Trump's motivation for not releasing his tax returns.

U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., is pushing for a bill that would force Donald Trump and other presidential nominees from major parties to release tax returns.
Trump has said that he can't release his tax returns because he is under audit from the Internal Revenue Service, according to Fox News.
Murphy questioned Trump's motivations for not releasing the returns and said it violates 40 years of transparency practices, according to the Connecticut Mirror. He went as far to suggest that Trump could be running for president in order to change tax laws in favor of his companies.

Trump was recently in Fairfield, Conn and took the opportunity to once again blast Gov. Dannel Malloy as a "garbage" governor and even joked about Malloy's first name.

Clinton released her tax returns. Hillary and Bill Clinton pay an effective combined federal, sate and local rate of 43.2 percent and donated 9.8 percent of their adjusted gross income to charity, according to a release from the Clinton campaign.
“In stark contrast, Donald Trump is hiding behind fake excuses and backtracking on his previous promises to release his tax returns," said Hillary for America communications director Jennifer Palmieri. "He has failed to provide the public with the most basic financial information disclosed by every major candidate in the last 40 years. What is he trying to hide?”
