Also on May 27, a resident of Dubois Street came into police headquarters to report a car burglary.
The resident said that between 11 p.m. on May 26 and 8 a.m. on May 27, their gray Volkswagen Atlas was entered while parked unlocked in their driveway, police said.
Police added that personal property was taken, and the car was later recovered by Greenwich police.
The personal property was found in a stolen Audi Q5 in New Haven, which had been reported stolen out of Greenwich, police said.
On May 30 at approximately 10 a.m., an attempted car burglary was reported at Whole Foods in Darien, police said.
An employee of the store witnessed a man exit a white Porsche Cayenne parked near the entrance and run towards a 2019 Honda Civic, police said.
The man tried to open the driver's side door, but fled back to the Porsche when the Honda was found to be locked, police said.
"The Porsche then sped away from the scene. Subsequent communications revealed that the Porsche was involved in a purse snatching incident earlier in Stamford and a motor vehicle burglary at the I-95 Northbound rest area later that day," police said.
