Sidewalk Replacement Project Scheduled To Begin Monday In Darien

DARIEN, CT — The town of Darien is expected to begin replacing sidewalks on the west side of Nearwater Lane between Nickerson Lane and Woodland Drive on Monday.

The existing asphalt sidewalk will be replaced and concrete handicap ramps at intersections will be installed as part of the overall project, the town said on Facebook.

The sidewalk location will be virtually the same as the existing sidewalk within the town right of way. No work will take place on private property without consent and full understanding of the owner, the town said. The road will not be closed.

Darien police or other traffic control personnel will be on site. Work is expected to be completed before Halloween.
