Snoopy, the World War I flying ace, never forgets his chief nemesis, the Red Baron, but most Germans have never heard of him.

Thanks to the new Peanuts movie, in which Snoopy engages the baron in his scarlet plane in a dogfight, a new generation of Americans is learning to curse the German fighter pilot.
