Star 99.9 Morning Show Raises $10K For The Tiny Miracles Foundation

DARIEN, CT — The Star 99.9 morning show held their annual "Anna and Raven Maritime Chevrolet Dance-a-Thon" last week at the SoNo Collection in Norwalk. The event raised $10,000 for the Darien-based Tiny Miracles Foundation, the nonprofit organization that supports families of premature babies.

Fourteen dance troops representing Fairfield and New Haven, as well as Westchester, N.Y., performed in front of an enthusiastic crowd in the Magnificent Room of the SoNo Collection.

All types of dance from jazz, tap, contemporary, acrobatics and Broadway was represented and each group helped fundraise for the cause.

"It’s always such a highlight to see so many talented, beautiful dancers of all ages come together to perform for a great cause," said radio host Anna Zap, in a news release. "Their energy and love of dance is contagious."

“We are so grateful for our partnership with Star 99.9 and the 'Anna & Raven Show,'" added Tina Tison, executive director of The Tiny Miracles Foundation, in a news release. "The funds provided by the Dance-a-Thon this year, and in years past, enable us to support hundreds of families every year in our community with premature babies in the NICU."

Anna and Raven, who are heard via Compass Media on 60 radio stations around the country, will now take this concept to Long Island.

The WALK-FM version will happen on Saturday May 18 at the South Shore Mall in Bayshore to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities.
