There are several chances for showers and thunderstorms in the upcoming forecast. Here's the latest on the possible unsettled weather.

The Fourth of July weekend is upcoming and the forecast for the next week and beyond includes several days where thunderstorms are in the forecast including the upcoming holiday weekend in Connecticut.
The news isn’t all bad as Accuweather.com says Monday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 4 look to be mostly sunny currently, but the weather looks very unsettled this upcoming weekend with thunderstorms and humidity moving in on Friday and continuing on Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, “It looks like a great weather day today! High temperatures will be in the upper 70s to around 80. It will also be a good beach and boating day today. Scattered showers thunderstorms expected for Tuesday. Back to sunshine & nice weather Wednesday and Thursday! Humidity comes back big time Friday through the weekend with the scattered shower and thunder threat.”

Monday: Sunshine, temps near 80.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, high near 80, but chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
Wednesday: Sunny, great day, high near 80.
Thursday: Partly sunny, high near 80.
Friday: Partly sunny but showers and thunderstorms predicted too. Some heavy rain is possible and high temps in the mid to upper 80s. It becomes quite humid.
Saturday: Same forecast as Friday as storms are possible and those storms could bring heavy rain. Remains hot and humid.
Sunday: Scattered showers possible but also some sun too. High temps in the mid 80s.
