Summer Paving To Begin Soon In Darien: See List Of Roads
Drivers should consider adjusting their routes if necessary and exercise caution.
DARIEN, CT — Darien's summer paving program is set to begin this week.
According to the Town of Darien, some roads may be inactive between milling and paving operations. Motorists are asked to avoid those roads if possible or use extra caution if travel is necessary.
The town said the schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times, and Darien police officers will be on site to direct traffic and assist residents during construction.

Driveway access will be limited during paving operations, although the town said no individual driveway is expected to be inaccessible for more than one hour.
On-street parking will be prohibited during paving, and minor traffic delays are expected. Residents are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly.

- Nutmeg Lane from Hollow Tree Ridge Road to Darien High School - milling to start Aug. 6, with paving to finish Aug. 12.
- High School Lane from Middlesex Road to Darien High School - milling to start Aug. 6, with paving to finish Aug. 13.
- Midbrook Lane from Leroy Avenue to cul-de-sac - milling to start Aug. 7, with paving to finish Aug. 13.
- Kona Road from Leroy Avenue to cul-de-sac - milling to start Aug. 7, with paving to finish Aug. 13.
- Mystic Lane from Leroy Avenue to cul-de-sac - milling to start Aug. 7, with paving to finish Aug. 13.
- Knollwood Lane from Mansfield Avenue to cul-de-sac - milling to start Aug. 10, with paving to finish Aug. 14.
