Syrian Refugee Family Arrives Just Before Trump Executive Order Signed

The family was sponsored by St. Luke's Parish in Darien.

DARIEN, CT — A Syrian refugee family sponsored by St. Luke's Parish arrived just before President Donald Trump signed an executive order that suspends the inflow of refugees from Syria and six other countries.

Trump's executive order bans Syrian refugees indefinitely.

Donations were made by members of the Darien community and around the world to help St. Luke's effort to bring the family to the United States, according to the Darien Times.
