Theft Reported at Darien Donut

Police are investigating after hundreds of dollars was reported missing from Darien Donut on Heights Road.

Police got a larceny complaint on May 9. The owner told officers that money was missing from daily register closings over the past two weeks. On May 9 $300 was missing, which was the largest single amount to date.

There was no forced entry to the building and no alarm activation. Employees are often present late at night and in the early morning most days.

Detectives are following up on the case.
