These Darien Streets are Scheduled for Paving in August
Darien Department of Public Works announced its 2014 paving schedule, and these streets are on it.

A news release issued Friday by the Darien Department of Public Works:
The Town of Darien paving program for the summer of 2014 is as follows:
· Driftway Lane (Old Farm Rd to Tokeneke Rd), August 7, through August 13, 2014.

· Old Farm Rd (Tokeneke to Driftway), August 7, through August 14, 2014.
· 5 Mile River Rd (Old Farm Rd to Tokeneke), August 7, through August 14, 2014.

· Raymond St (Old Kings Hwy N to Cliff Ave), August 8, through August 18, 2014.
· Old King’s Hwy North #3 (Old Kings Hwy #1 to Boston Post Rd), Aug 11, thru Aug 18, 2014.
· West Nwlk Rd (Boston Post Rd to Nrwlk Line), August 11, through August 18, 2014.
· Shadbush Ln (Leroy Ave #1 to Cul de Sac), August 11, through August 19, 2014.
· Elm St (Noroton Ave to Fairfield Ave), August 11, through August 19, 2014.
· Fairfield Ave (Chestnut to Elm), August 12, through August 19, 2014.
· Maple St (Noroton Ave to Linden Ave), August 12, through August 20, 2014.
· Haskell Lane (Hollow Tree to Cul de Sac), August 18, through August 21, 2014.
· Lantern Lane (Middlesex Rd to Cul de Sac), August 18, through August 21, 2014.
· Sunnyside Ave (Middlesex Rd to Christie Hill Rd), August 18, through August 21, 2014.
Preparatory work will precede paving on all of the above roads. Dates listed above include milling and paving. Road surfaces will have raised structures during these dates.
Please avoid these roads if possible during these times or use extra caution if you must travel on these roads. The above schedule is based on favorable weather conditions.
Emergency access will be available at all times. Town of Darien police officers will be present to direct traffic and assist area residents during construction. Driveway access will be limited during paving operations. However, no single driveway should be closed for more than an hour.
On-street parking will be suspended during paving operations. Minor traffic delays are likely. Please plan your travels accordingly. Please call the Department of Public Works at 656-7346 for further information.
