Tracy Marra Runs Unopposed For State Rep. In Norwalk And Darien

DARIEN, CT — Darien Resident and lifetime Republican Tracy Marra will run unopposed for the 141st Connecticut House of Representatives District on Nov. 8.

"I am honoured to represent the Republicans and to have the endorsement of the Independent party. We need to come together as a community," Marra said recently in a news release. "My priority will be to serve as a clear and competent voice in Hartford for our amazing community in Norwalk and Darien. We have many issues that we need to tackle, including our state affordability and community safety. Our government needs to take a transparent and inclusive approach to governing. One that understands that our local elected leaders need to be at the forefront our solutions."

Marra plans to focus on providing greater community safety, ensuring accountability and transparency in the district’s educational system, and guiding the state toward greater affordability.

"Our families have struggled, our businesses are strained, and our residents are taxed from all directions. Connecticut needs to open up for business, support a transparent education for our children and make our state affordable," Marra said.

Marra has been endorsed by CT Realtors, Log Cabin Republicans, Fraternal Order of Police, and the Independent Party.

"The Independent Party supports those candidates that look to represent the moderate and unaffiliated voter," said Independent Party State Central Committee and State Senate Candidate Lisa Brinton, in a news release. "I believe Tracy Marra will hold Hartford accountable for economic policies that hurt Connecticut and I’m confident she’ll serve Darien and Rowayton just as successfully as her predecessor, Terrie Wood did."

Marra is a trained pharmacist, community advocate, and mother of three children. Her involvement includes the Darien Community Association, Connecticut Against Gun Violence, and the Republican Town Committee. Marra served as Terrie Wood’s campaign manager in 2020 and was highly involved in the municipal elections in 2021.

She is the State Central Representative for the Stamford and Darien district. She was born in Lexington, KY.
