Traffic Advisory Issued For Darien High School Football Game: PD

Police said officers will monitor traffic and security for Darien High School's football game against Newtown High School on Friday.

DARIEN, CT — Darien police will monitor traffic and security for Darien High School's home football game against Newtown High School on Friday.

In a news release, Police Capt. Jeremiah Marron Jr. said all traffic will enter the high school's campus from Noroton Avenue, and High School Lane and Nutmeg Lane will be closed to incoming traffic. Spectators are strongly urged to carpool, Marron said.

According to Marron, parking regulations and designated tow away zones will be strictly enforced Friday due to the large number of vehicles expected for the game. A handicap permit is required to park in the limited handicap parking spaces available.
