Vehicles Stolen, Entered In Darien: Police
Police said three vehicles parked in Darien were recently stolen and others were entered overnight.
DARIEN, CT — Three vehicles parked in Darien were recently stolen and others were entered overnight, according to police.
In a news release, Police Sgt. James Palmieri said officers responded to Long Neck Point Rd. on June 29 after receiving a report of an unoccupied vehicle in the road. Soon after, an area resident reported their 2014 Range Rover had been stolen.
Officers determined the unoccupied vehicle was the stolen Range Rover, which was reportedly left unlocked with the keys inside, Palmieri said.

Later that day, North Haven police contacted the department after locating a 2017 Mercedes Benz GLC, was registered to a separate Long Neck Point Rd. residence, in their town. Police contacted the owners, who confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen after the doors were left unlocked with the keys inside, Palmieri said.
That same day, a 2014 Mercedes M1350 was reported stolen from a driveway on Plymouth Rd. According to Palmieri, the vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys inside.

On July 5, police in Longmeadow, Mass., located the vehicle in their town and contacted the department.
In addition to the reported thefts, a 2015 Lexus RX parked on Dubois St. and a 2019 Mercedes sedan parked on Pear Tree Point Rd. were entered after being left unlocked, however nothing was reported missing from either vehicle, Palmieri said.
