Vermont Man Used Facebook To Threaten Darien Victim, Cops Say
Authorities said that the suspect threatened to shoot the victim.

DARIEN, CT — A 58-year-old Woodford, VT man recently was arrested on a warrant charging him with first-degree threatening after police said he allegedly threatened a Darien resident on Facebook who owns a property in Vermont near the suspect.
Darien police detectives took Richard Koproski into custody on Jan. 30 after he had been apprehended by Vermont State Police about a week before.
The complainant had gone to Darien police on Jan. 17 with printouts of Facebook posts that allegedly contained threats from Koproski.

"A review of the threats showed that Koproski made multiple references to having firearms, being upset with various people, and that he would need a lot of body bags," wrote Darien police in a statement. "Other threats are directed at the complainant specifically, threatening to shoot them in the head and that he has an arsenal of firearms. The complainant told officers they felt threatened because Koproski had been becoming more unpredictable over the past few years, and he knew him to own a large number of firearms. The complainant owns a home in VT in close proximity to Koproski."
Darien police obtained a warrant for Koproski's arrest and notified Vermont State Police, and that department apprehended him on Jan. 22.
