Griffin told officers her name was "Janet," and that the check in question belonged to her, police said.

"When officers asked her to sit down, she ran out of the bank and then fell to the ground. When she fell, officers reported that two credit cards fell to the ground with a different name on one of the cards. Chanelle also had a fraudulent identification on her matching the check she was attempting to cash," police said.

Officers spoke with the owner of the check who confirmed that Griffin did not fit the description of the person they wrote the check to, police said.

Griffin was released on 10 percent of her $5,000 bond. She's scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 3.
