"Investigators found discrepancies and missing check stubs, linking multiple checks to Ymeri," police said. "Ymeri initially voluntarily met with investigators and provided background information about her employment. Ymeri denied any involvement in the theft and agreed to provide documentation to support her claims but failed to follow through."
Investigators obtained copies of 71 unauthorized checks that were made payable to and cashed by Ymeri, police said.
Ymeri posted her $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on June 17.
