Woman Arrested After Darien Social Incident
The woman allegedly became irate at a bartender after being cut off from buying more alcohol.

A woman was arrested after she allegedly got into a quarrel with a bartender at Darien Social.
Police responded to the establishment on July 9 around 11:30 p.m.
A bartender said a customer got into a verbal argument and was asked to leave, but she didn’t.

The woman was allegedly highly intoxicated and was cut off. She began to yell profanities and called the bartender derogatory names, police said.
At one point she allegedly grabbed the bartender’s shirt and began to yell at him.

Police found the woman, identified as Edith Clarke, 51, of Mansfield Avenue behind the establishment.
She claimed that the bartender refused to serve her because she was with four black male friends, according to police.
Police charged her with breach of peace and she was released on a promise to appear.
