Woman Flees Police in Darien, Gets Caught in Stamford: PD
She fled the scene of a traffic stop and was caught not long after by Stamford authorities, according to police.

DARIEN, CT — A Canton woman was arrested after she fled police in Darien and was captured after burglarizing a home in Stamford, police said.
Police stopped a vehicle Jan. 2 around 1:20 a.m. on Noroton Avenue after it made a left turn from a straight or right turn only lane.
There were three people inside and Annie Plourde, 36, was driving the vehicle, police said. She didn't have a license on her and gave police a debit card with her name on it and her date of birth. She said the vehicle belonged to one of the passengers and was able to produce a bill of sale. Plourde admitted that her license was suspended.

Additional officers arrived and Plourde put the vehicle into gear and drove away from the scene, police said.
A pursuit commenced and reached speeds of up to 75 mph on the Post Road. There were no other vehicles on the road at the time. The pursuit was terminated at the Stamford line.

Stamford Police were notified of the situation and found Plourde in a vacant Cove home after a neighbor called police, according to the Stamford Advocate. She had apparently been living there for several days.
She was charged with burglary and criminal mischief by Stamford Police. She also had outstanding warrants for skipping court, police said.
Darien Police charged her with interfering with police, engaging police in a pursuit, reckless driving and motor vehicle violations.
