YWCA Darien/Norwalk Announces Erica Zaky of Channel 12 to Host 2017 Women of Distinction Luncheon

Women of Distinction Luncheon

YWCA Darien/Norwalk is pleased to announce Erica Zaky as host of the 2017 Women of Distinction luncheon being held at Woodway Country Club, May 4, 2017.

Erica, a freelance News Anchor and Reporter, has worked for the News 12 Networks for more than 15-years. In 2013, she received a NY Emmy for her education story, Not Really A Sacrifice. Prior to settling down in Connecticut, Erica volunteered in South Africa, and traveled as much as possible! She graduated from Syracuse University, where she spent a semester in London. Erica now lives in Stamford with her husband, 2 children, and rescue dog.

Distinguished guests at the Luncheon will include State Representative Terrie Wood and Darien First Selectman Jayme Stevenson. Both have attended and supported this luncheon for several years. Past award winners and previous YWCA Board Members will also be in attendance to support the 2017 honorees. “It's wonderful to get the continued support from both Terrie and Jayme at this event” said Louisa Stead, President of the YWCA Darien/Norwalk Board.

This years distinguished honorees are: Kara Nelson Baekey, Mindy Garcia, Catalina Horak, Lisa Koorbusch and Leslie Pennington. Katie Schorr will be honored as a Young Woman of Distinction, recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of a woman under 21 years of age.
